Here's what Roberto Luongo tweeted after winning an Olympic gold medal

    1 of 1 2 of 1

      "I love my teammates!"

(Editor's note: Luongo's head coach at the time was Mike Babcock. He isn't as hostile to Twitter as Canucks head coach John Tortorella. who believes it causes "nothing but trouble".)

HOoray for our athletes who inspire us with their efforts. Congratulations to all Canadian athletes and to our great hockey team as well. What a thrill you gave the country. Hurry home safely.

of the camaraderie. It's pictures like that that can capture the thrill these guys feel in accomplishing something together (coupled with a fairly enormous weight of pressure from it's hockey hungry country). I for one, am proud of these "over paid athletes" for playing for Canada. What I wouldn't give to be one of the guys on that team .... and to feel that sense of patriotism and pride- well done!
