One of Vancouver's most beloved music personalities is on the mend after suffering a serious health crisis.

Nardwuar the Human Serviette has tweeted that he had a stroke on Saturday (December 5) while attending a party hosted by Mint Records.

He's recovering in Vancouver General Hospital.

Nardwuar has promised to provide more information as it becomes available. (See below.)

Nardwuar is known internationally for his celebrity interviews, his uncanny ability for ferreting out unusual albums as gifts, and for his long-time musical career with the Evaporators.

He's one of a select few people who've been featured more than once on the cover of the Georgia Straight.

      That's Nardwuar playing Captain Canada.

Nardwuar is also an entertaining political reporter. Who can ever forget the time he asked Mikhail Gorbachev which world leader has the biggest pants?

Everyone at the Straight wishes Nardwuar a speedy recovery. He's a national treasure.

Nardwuar doesn't only hang out with the rich and famous. He even consents to photographs beside small-town hacks.
