The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Kidd Pivot’s The Tempest Replica

      SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs presents Kidd Pivot’s The Tempest Replica at SFU’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (149 West Hastings Street) from March 6 to 8. There will be a preview on March 5 at 8 p.m.

      This encore presentation of The Tempest Replica will give audiences a chance to rediscover the work of Crystal Pite, one of Vancouver’s most exciting choreographers. Kidd Pivot integrates movement, original music, text, and rich visual design.

      The Tempest Replica features Bryan Arias, Eric Beauchesne, Peter Chu, Sandra Marin Garcia, Yannick Matthon, David Raymond, and Cindy Salgado. The work also features music by Owen Belton, sound design by Meg Roe and Alessandro Juliani, costume design by Nancy Bryant, lighting by Robert Sondergaard, sets by Jay Gower Taylor, and projections by Jamie Nesbitt.

      Tickets to The Tempest Replica are $29 to $49 and can be purchased online in advance.
