Video: Steve Harvey's monumental screwup at the Miss Universe pageant

Beauty pageants are often derided as sexist and demeaning, but at last night's Miss Universe pageant, it was the emcee, Steve Harvey, who made the biggest ass of himself.

He read the wrong name as the winner, which meant that Miss Colombia wore the crown. But only for a couple of minutes.

Once Harvey realized his error, he corrected it.

In the process, he provided more publicity than the pageant has had in years.
