How would you feel if your non-Muslim daughter or son introduced you to her or his Muslim fiancé?

In light of the heated debates about Muslim people and refugees, the following segment from an episode from What Would You Do? provides an interesting look at how people react to witnessing discrimination on a very personal level.

The video captures how people react when they witness parents rejecting their daughter's fiancé because he is Muslim and Middle Eastern.

While there have been marked differences in the approaches towards Syrian refugees between Canada and the U.S., there still of course remain numerous Canadians opposed to the idea of accepting Muslim people.

Like other forms of discrimination including racism and homophobia, it's often one thing to be cool with the concept of accepting someone different from afar, on a public level, but it can quite another matter when it's about accepting someone into your personal life, such as welcoming someone into your family.

Here's how some Americans reacted to witnessing Islamophobia between family members in a public setting.
