Homeless in Vancouver: Nouvelle cuisine is for the birds

When I saw this, it instantly brought to mind fancy square-plated nouvelle cuisine: the carefully nonchalant arrangement of berries, the tangy cigarette butt garnish, some greens on the side—il est parfait!

Of course it’s in the back alley behind a Joey restaurant on West Broadway Avenue; a chain that describes its experience as “premium casual dining”.

Nothing’s too good for the the Joey birds. I doubt they’d even touch the berries without an appropriate accompanying wine.

Anyway, I’m assuming it’s for the birds.
