Health Initiative for Men seeks Chinese-speaking gay Vancouverites

If you're a gay Vancouverite who is fluent in English and Chinese (written and oral, in either Mandarin or Cantonese), Health Initiative for Men is looking for you.

HIM is organizing interviews and group discussions (to be conducted in English) to help develop a sexual health resource for Chinese-speaking gay men and men who have sex with men.

The resource will include information about sexual health risk factors (such as HIV and STI transmission), HIV and STI prevention and testing, mental health, and more. The resource will be made in the spring of this year.

This project is the starting point for more resources to be made in other languages.

Interviews will take about 45 minutes (each participant will receive a $25 honorarium) while group discussions (with about five or six participants, who will each receive a $50 honorarium) will take up to about two hours.

Participants have the option to participate in either, which will be conducted from March 17 to 26, but not both.

If you're interested in participating or want more information, contact Michael Kwag.
