Rewilding Vancouver takes over the Museum of Vancouver (1100 Chestnut Street) now through September 1.

The exhibit challenges our perceptions of what is natural to Vancouver and explores our relationship with nature through the lens of historical ecology. Displays are comprised of taxidermy specimens, 3-D models, soundscapes, videos, and photo interventions featuring our region’s wildlife, including ravens, wolves, elk, crows, coyotes, and black-tailed deer.

Rewilding Vancouver is curated by Viviane Gosselin, designed by Kevin McAllister, and guest curated by J.B. MacKinnon, co-author of the 100-Mile Diet and author of the recently released The Once and Future World, which served as inspiration for the exhibition.

The exhibit is open during museum hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays to Sundays, and until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Admission is $8 to $12.
