The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival

      From January 19 to February 7, the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival hits various venues around Vancouver.

      The 12th annual event showcases local, national, and international artists in theatre, dance, music, and various forms of multimedia and hybrid performance.

      This year, the 2016 edition of the festival features over 150 events over the course of 20 days, including main-stage shows, Club PuSh, industry networking events, free movies, professional workshops, and artist talks.

      Main-stage shows include performances by Aakash Odedra Company, Compagnie Sacékripa, Stop the Violence, Roomful of Teeth, Neworld Theatre, Gabriel Dharmoo, Volcano Theatre, and Daniel Fish.

      Club PuSh shows include performances by the Accidental Mechanics Group, Harold Budd, Fond of Tigers, Cynthia Hopkins, Queer Songbook Orchestra, and Jordan Tannahill.
