Peaches Geldof, the daughter of Irish rock musician and humanitarian Bob Geldof, has died at the age of 25.

Kent Police has issued a statement saying she passed away suddenly in her home in Wrotham in Kent. According to police, the death is "unexplained".

Peaches Geldof was the second daughter of Paula Yates and Geldof, who was Georgia Straight music editor in the mid 1970s. Yates, a writer and television presenter, died in 2000 of a heroin overdose.

Peaches Geldof was married to musician Thomas Cohen.

They had two sons: Astala Dylan Willow, who's nearly two years old, and Phaedra Bloom Forever, who will be one on April 24.

In January, the Daily Mail reported that Peaches Geldof had "taken to motherhood like a duck to water".

She has worked as a model, documentary filmmaker, and journalist, writing a column for Elle Girl.

As a teenager, she wrote a weekly column for the Daily Telegraph and she also contributed to the Guardian.

The last photograph posted online by Peaches Geldof was an old baby picture of her and her mother, Paula Yates. It was uploaded on April 6, 2014, with the comment, "Me and my mum."
