Chopped Canada now casting competitors

      Calling all professional chefs!

      Competitive cooking show Chopped Canada is now casting for the new year.

      The program, which pits four chefs from across Canada against one another in a three-round cook-off with mystery ingredients, is looking for experienced chefs who “thrive in the pressure-cooking environment of a competition and ‘the unknown’ ”.

      Interested applicants must be a professional chefs working in the culinary industry; Canadian citizens or permanent residents; and over the age of 19 as of April 1, 2016.

      The application process includes a list of questions where chefs are urged to “be creative”.

      The deadline to apply online is February 15, 2016.

      The latest season of Chopped Canada features 12 competitors from B.C., including three from Vancouver. It currently airs on the Food Network Canada.
