      National Hug Day is the top-trending subject on Twitter.

      It's an endearing tradition, but apparently, people are getting ticked off that this is being highjacked by corporate interests.

      First it was Christmas. Then it was Valentine's Day.

      Now, it seems there's no end to where marketing may rear its head.

      But hey, some folks are trying to keep the tradition alive in a purer form.
