In the past, Vancouver's Pan Pacific Hotel has bragged about how its elevators tell you what day it is.
It's one of the little treats that has made it a favourite of the rich and famous, including Princess Diana, the Aga Khan, Bill Clinton, and the Dalai Lama.
But last night, something went horribly wrong, resulting in a group of guests being trapped in the elevator for one-and-a-half hours.
One of those inside, Breanne Quist, tweeted the following message.

Fortunately, the folks from Otis showed up, fixed the problem, and everyone emerged unscathed.
