Hey, America: How about Canada for president?

      Dear America,

If you're feeling just a touch dissatisfied with the likes of Donald Trump or Ted Cruz in the U.S. presidential-nomination race, why not consider your trusted friend and ally: your friendly neighbourhood Canada?

Yes, the Great White North has decided to run as a U.S presidential election candidate.

The video below, produced by a Vancouver duo comprised of writer Chris Cannon, a recovering American, and actor Brian Calvert, an unrepentant Canadian, outlines the very rational reasons why you should vote for Canada—the nation—for president of the United States of America. And why not?

The Canada Party announced their candidacy first in 2012. For those who were unaware, Canada wasn't elected, unfortunately.

However, you can learn more about the Canada Party—who use the slogan "America, but better" with a picture of a beaver (no, not that kind)—at their website. Check out their platform, which includes information about issues such as immigration, the environment, gay rights, and gun control.

Because, as the Canada Party says: yes, we Canada.

      Love,

      Canada
