The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival

From February 12 to 20, the 19th annual Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival comes to town.

By showcasing outdoor and mountaineering films that illustrate experiences and cultures from all corners of the globe, the festival brings communities together to promote positive values and active lifestyles.

Highlights include 25 shows packed with films, presentations, and guest speakers, which include filmmakers and top athletes in climbing, mountain biking, mountaineering, kayaking, slacklining, and paragliding.

Films will be shown at the Centennial Theatre (2300 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver), the Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway), the Cinematheque (1131 Howe), and the Inlet Theatre (100 Newport Drive, Port Moody).
