In October 2014, I noted in this space that U.S. actor Joan Cusack's name was appearing in a graffiti tag around Vancouver.

It came after her more famous brother, John Cusack, had suggested that her name should be featured instead of his.

The "John Cusack" tag had been appearing earlier, prompting John to deny he had any role in this occurring.

Today, he put out a tweet wondering why another of his sisters, Ann, hasn't been highlighted in this way.

Like Joan and John, Ann Cusack is also an actor. Her TV credits include Grey's Anatomy, Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, and Scandal, as well as the 1996 film comedy Multiplicity.

John Cusack is best known for his offbeat roles in such films as Say Anything, The Grifters, Being John Malkovich, and High Fidelity. In his private life, he's shown a progressive streak.

In November, Cusack joined U.S. whistleblowers Edward Snowden and Daniel Ellsberg, and inspirational Indian writer Arundhati Roy in a Moscow hotel.

Roy has distinguished herself for standing up for the Naxalites (often called Maoists) in India in their struggles to maintain control over tribal areas in the face of a corporate onslaught supported by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
