Sarah Palin tells NRA pep rally that "waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists"

Republican blowhard Sarah Palin brought a whole new level of awful to the National Rifle Association's "Stand And Fight" conference in Indiana over the weekend.

Yeah, okay, we kind of expect awful at an NRA pep rally. But Palin's meandering pro-gun speechifying almost outdoes Ted Nugent on the bizarro rant scale.

We "should put the fear of God into our enemies", said the erstwhile politician-cum-reality TV staple, before claiming that "waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists".

Amid remarks about how "NRA leadership is needed now more than ever," Palin successfully fearmongers to a rabid, vervent crowd.

"If you control arms, you control the people," said Palin, "and that is what they [the government] is trying," before launching into a strange history lesson about musket registration and identifying gun owners with bracelets.

She rambles on for 12 minutes, touching on everything from jihads, Joe "Squirt Gun" Biden, and the evils of tolerance to prayer in public schools, family, faith, and freedom.

Impressively, Palin name drops Ronald Reagan only once.

“Not all intolerant, anti-freedom leftist liberals are hypocrites,” she proclaims before dropping the anemic punchline: “I’m kidding—yes, they are!”

If you have the stomach for it, watch the whole stomach-churning propaganda piece above.

      Actually, on second thought: don't.
