New Asian Godzilla trailer lives up to the old Blue Oyster Cult tune

I don't normally watch trailers for movies I know I'm going to review because they often give too much away—especially with the horror flicks I specialize in.

But I wasn't worried about viewing this new trailer for the Godzilla movie, which opens May 16. I already know what's gonna happen: the Lizard King is gonna wreck Tokyo. Or some other thriving metropolis.

      It's all good.

Actually, everything I need to know about the new Godzilla movie I already learned from the first verse of that riff-riddled Blue Oyster Cult tune from the Year of our Lord, 1977:

With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound he pulls the spitting high tension wires down. [Donald Roeser scrapes pick up and down the neck of his cranked guitar]. Helpless people on subway trains scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them. [More wild lead-guitar from Buck]...

But here's the new Asian Godzilla trailer anyway. Check out the appearance of that Rodan-like flying monster. Looks like Godzilla may have met his match.

History shows again and again how nature points up the folly of men. Godzilla! [Repeat four times]
