Deadpool captures Vancouver's classy side

      It opened at #1 in the UK and Australia, broke New Year's Day records in Hong Kong, and has industry experts saying things like "pre-release tracking indicates we're all billionaires" prior to its North American release on Friday (Februaury 12).

      Besides giving "Your Vancouver Ryan Reynolds" his first hit in about 15 films—the Straight's Ron Yamauchi definitely liked it—Deadpool is bringing our city to the world once again, more recognizably than ever.

      Our friends at YVRShoots were there last year when the Merc with a Mouth was visiting his favourite gentleman's club, creating massive gridlock on the Georgia viaduct, and eating from a Gastown dumpster.

      It's good to be home!
