Upintheair Theatre presents the second annual rEvolver Theatre Festival at the Cultch (1895 Venables Street) from May 13 to 25.

Clowns, confessionals, an all-female pirate sword-fighting spectacular, live music and theatre, site-specific installations, and new shows are all part of the rEvolver Theatre Festival. The festival builds on the success of both the Walking Fish and Neanderthal Arts Fetsivals, showcasing adventurous, high-energy, and sophisticated new work by emerging companies and artists.

This year’s festival lineup includes Life and Depth’s tea-party comedy, 2 for Tea; Human Theatre Collective’s CAEZR: 33 CUTS, which reinterprets Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar for Vancouver 2050; Heroine, Halifax’s Off The Leash Creative’s female pirate adventure; Architect Theatre’s How Should You Be?; Off Key Improv and Lost Light Productions’ one-act musical, Off Key: An Improvised Musical; Pan and Superman by Vancouver’s Adam Bergquist; REVISED From the Belly of A Whale by Mi Casa Theatre; Shattered, a solo work by Victoria’s Impulse Theatre; Songs of the Sad Sack, Vol. 2: Positive Life-Affirming Entertainment by Vancouver’s Kris Elgstrand; and We’ll Need a Piece of Cake Before We Die by FurryN@vel.

Single show tickets and rEvolver Theatre Festival passes can be purchased online in advance.
