Another day, another international media shout-out to Vancouver. And no, our real-estate prices and sky-high cost of living are not the spotlights this time around.

Hot on the heels of The Guardian’s inclusion of English Bay on its list of the top 50 beaches in the world, U.S. fashion bible Vogue is singing Vancouver’s praises through an article that outlines what makes a “perfect day” in our fair city.

      Matchstick Coffee Roasters

On the agenda? A cup of joe from Matchstick Coffee Roasters or 49th Parallel, a leisurely stroll through Stanley Park, craft beer, dinner in the Fraser ‘hood or Kitsilano, cocktails at Juniper, and yet even more imbibing at the speakeasy-chic Prohibition, which should ideally be your hotel bar.

Café Medina and the Four Seasons Hotel’s YEW seafood + bar get nods for top brunch spots. (A perfect day in Vancouver takes place on a weekend, in case you’re not following.)

      33 Acres Brewing Company

33 Acres Brewing Company, Brassneck Brewery, and Strange Fellows Brewing rep the city’s craft beer boom, while Vancouver Brewery Tours also gets a plug for its efficient distance-travelled-to-beer-consumed ratio.

Sometime amidst the food and drink binge, Vogue suggests that you immerse yourself in a little culture at the Museum of Anthropology. Plus, no guide to Vancouver is complete without Granville Island, right?

Because it is a fashion mag after all, the publication also makes mention of lululemon and its technical-cashmere-peddling sister, Kit and Ace, as well as homegrown streetwear brands Reigning Champ and wings+horns.
