Video: John Oliver and Bill Nye challenge climate change "debate"
One in four Americans are still skeptical about climate change.
So what?
On a recent episode of Last Week Tonight, John Oliver enlists Bill Nye the Science Guy to show how ridiculous and misleading media coverage of climate change has become.
"You don't need peoples' opinion on a fact," Oliver says in the video. "You might as well have a poll asking, 'which number is bigger: 15 or five?' Or 'do owls exist?' or 'Are there hats?'"
Noting that glaciers are melting, sea surface temperatures are rising, and heat waves are increasing, Oliver and Nye proceed to have a statistically representative debate about climate change, pitting three deniers against 97 scientists.
"I can't hear you over the weight of scientific evidence!" Oliver says to the denier camp near the end of the video. "This debate should not have happened!"

News outlets understand this climate change is political in nature, the science aspect of it is irrelevant, so when they talk about climate they place one alarmist against one skeptic. News outlets know that its the left against right, this is why its considered balanced reporting. Trying to make it only a question of science, does not make it so.
We began seeing this left against right on news shows just after the Climate-gate emails were revealed in late 2009. That's about when the media awoke to the politics of climate change. And the left has been trying to shut it down and silence dissent ever since.
Unsuccessfully, I might ad.
