The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the VanMan Male Choral Summit

On March 12, the second annual VanMan Male Choral Summit hits the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (6265 Crescent Road, UBC).

Presented by local choral ensemble Chor Leoni Men's Choir, the event showcases the full spectrum of male singing through performances by Chor Leoni, Chor Leoni's MYVoice choirs, the British Columbia Boys Choir, UBC Men's Choir, Vancouver Men's Chorus, and the VanMan Festival Singers.

At 4 pm, MYVoice at the Chan sees the young men of Chor Leoni's MYVoice program kick of the day's performances.This next generation of singers has been rehearsing for the past 10 weeks under Lower Mainland musical educators.

At 7:30 pm, the Summit Concert features solo sets from the area's male choruses, highlights the MYVoice choirs, and ends with a surround-sound mass-choir finale.

Admission to MYVoice at the Chan is free, while tickets to the Summit Concert are $28 and $10 and are available online or by calling 604-822-2697.
