Photos: International Summer Night Market in Richmond

I learned some new things last night during my visit to one of the region's most popular evening markets.

For example, it's possible to get Halal Chinese food in the Lower Mainland.

Also, colourful posters of Hindu gods such as Ganesh and Laxmi are made in Guangdong Province in Southern China.

Since 2008, the International Summer Night Market has been taking place in Richmond, featuring a vast array of food vendors, kids' play areas, mini-golf, and lots of quirky, inexpensive items, including the aforementioned posters, clocks, games, toys, and clothing.

This year, it runs from 7 p.m. to midnight every Friday and Saturday until September 14, and from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays until mid-September.

Below, you can see a few snapshots.
