On March 18 and 19, 7:30 pm, Words in Motion comes to the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (6265 Crescent Road, UBC).

Presented in partnership with the Dance Centre, the production explores the power of words in performance, both as an agent of change and as a means of igniting dialogue.

Words in Motion sees Vancouver-based authors Carmen Aguirre, Aislinn Hunter, and Nancy Lee pair with choreographers Anusha Fernando, Olivia C. Davies, and Paraskevas Terezakis to interpret three texts into original works.

Chan Centre programming manager Wendy Atkinson says that the "resulting co-creations will shine a new light onto the writers' stories, while unraveling different layers of meaning and inspiring discussion."

Tickets for Words in Motion start at $20 and are available online or by calling 604-822-2697.
