Maze Runner star Dylan O'Brien hospitalized after injury on B.C. film set

      Actor Dylan O'Brien was injured while filming the third installation of the Maze Runner film series in British Columbia.

      Production on the film, The Maze Runner: The Death Cure, has been shut down while he recovers, according to 20th Century Fox.

      The 24-year-old O'Brien was taken to a local hospital.

      Fox issued this statement on March 18:

      Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.

      Fox did not comment on his injuries or what occurred.

      Maze Runner: The Death Cure is slated for release on February 17, 2017 and is based on James Dashner's young adult novels.
