The Georgia Straight’s 19th annual Best of Vancouver ballot is now live at Straight.com!

We want to hear from you about your most cherished Vancouver people, secrets, and landmarks, from Vancouver's Claim to Fame to the Best Place for Drink Specials.

Say your bit about the best our city has to offer in a comprehensive range of categories and help us create a portrait of Vancouver circa 2014.

This year's ballot consists of 272 questions, and can be found at www.straight.com/bov. Whether it's the Best Local Employer, your Favourite Canucks Player, or the Best Local Designer Clothing Store, your votes all add up to the Best of Vancouver.

Vote now and spread the word. Readers who answer 30 or more questions will be entered in a draw for a trip for two to the world-famous Kāʻanapali Beach Resort in Maui, Hawaii. After you've voted, pass the ballot on to your friends and receive one contest bonus entry for each share. And don't forgot to hashtag #BestOfVan!

I have a dream That dream is that your list compilers finally learn how to count to three. If there is a tie for first place in a category, the next item on the list is in third place, not second. If two people beat you in a race you come third. If those two happen to have the same time as each other you don’t get a promotion to second; you still cam third.
