The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Dances for a Small Stage: Summer Lovin’

      Live at the ‘bolt presents Dances for a Small Stage: Summer Lovin’ at Burnaby’s Shadbolt Centre for the Arts (6450 Deer Lake Avenue) on June 20 and 21 at 8 p.m. Dance artists and musicians will bring a dazzling array of original creations to the Shadbolt Centre’s south lawn.

      Participating dancers include Makaila Wallace, Simone Orlando, Maggie Forgeron, Karissa Barry, Thoenn Glover, Julie Chapple, Lina Fitzner, Caroline Liffmann, and Dayna Szyndrowski. Dances for a Small Stage: Summer Lovin’ will mark Wallace’s first solo performance since her departure from Ballet B.C. earlier this year.

      Feature musicians include Elisa Thorn on harp, Shanto Acharia on cello, Meredith Bates on violin, and Britt MacLeod’s vocals.

      Dances for a Small Stage: Summer Lovin’ is assembled and curated by MovEnt’s artistic producer Julie-anne Saroyan.

      Tickets to Dances for a Small Stage: Summer Lovin’ are $15 for adults and $10 for youth and can be purchased online in advance, by phone at 604-205-3000, or in person at the Shadbolt box office.
