When same-sex marriage was legalized in the U.S. last year, some outraged Americans took to Twitter to declare that they were going to move to Canada in protest—only to have others (namely, Canadians) point out that same-sex marriage has been legal in Canada since 2005. Whoops.

But a new round of American interest in immigrating to Canada has arisen.

This time, there’s been a surge of interest in moving to Canada by Americans who plan to do so if Donald Trump is elected president.

Consequently, as featured on The Ellen Show, a PSA has been circulating from Canadians to Americans to address the situation. And to tell Americans what we think—in the most Canadian of ways.
