For some Canadians, Rob Ford will always be remembered as the butt of jokes by late-night TV comedians like Jimmy Kimmel and Jon Stewart.

The colourful former Toronto mayor became an international celebrity after admitting that he smoked crack cocaine while in a drunken stupor.

But the recently deceased politician remains a hero to members of Ford Nation.

Below, you can see why in a tribute video posted on YouTube by the Doug Ford campaign.

Rob Ford represented Etobicoke North (Ward 2) as a councillor until his death this week, and there's growing pressure on on his brother to run for this position.

On Monday (March 28) and Tuesday (March 29), Ford will lie in repose at Toronto City Hall so the public can pay their respects.

On Wednesday (March 30), there will be a public procession from this location to St. James Cathedral for the funeral.
