Bijan Ahmadian is no longer owner of Odyssey Bar & Nightclub

      One of Vancouver's LGBT clubs has a new ownership structure.

      The Odyssey Bar & Nightclub has announced over Facebook that the public face of the business, former UBC student president Bijan Ahmadian, "is moving on to pursue new opportunities".

      "We would like to thank Bijan for his hard work and dedication to the difficult task of rebuilding and relaunching the Odyssey in a new outstanding location," the post states. "We wish him well in his new endeavours."

      The management team, Sebastian Ankel and Brandon Folkes, has encouraged anyone with any questions about the change to contact them.

      Last October, Ahmadian reportedly hired undercover operatives to gather information on a kinky Halloween event sponsored by the artist-run group Vancouver Arts & Leisure. This move enraged the organizers.
