DOXA Documentary Film Festival and Vij's are teaming up for a fundraising evening of food and film that will be related to the subject of food sustainability in a highly palatable way.

On April 20 at 7 p.m., Vij's owners Vikram Vij and Meeru Dhalwala will be presenting an Indian dinner for guests at Vij's Event Space (at 1488 West 11th Avenue next to Rangoli, not to be confused with their new Cambie Street location).

Tickets to the event include a welcoming glass of champagne with lentil-potato pakoras, a glass of wine from Road 13, a ticket and membership to the 15th annual DOXA Documentary Film Festival (which runs from May 5 to 15), and a meal, featuring vegetarian, vegan, and chicken options.

Dishes will include chicken curry, coconut curried vegetables, curried chickpeas, and rice pudding.

Tickets are available in advance (not at the door) and are $79 until April 9 ($89 after that).

The event, which is dedicated to supporting the non-profit DOXA, will be tied into a film at this year's festival about food sustainability (title to be announced after the 2016 festival launch on April 6).
