      American rapper Denzel Curry performs on his 2055: The Ult Experience Tour, with guests Allan Kingdom and JK the Reaper, at Alexander Gastown.

      Capture Photography Festival explores photography as an art form and a vessel for communication. Opens at various Metro Vancouver venues.

      Ethnomusicologist and musician Po-wei Weng explores the formation and fundamental concepts of Peking Opera percussion music. Held at SFU Harbour Centre.

      Ten emerging performers present 10-minute comedy, theatre, and drama performances at 100 Braid Street Studios.

      Femme City Choir presents a night of song, poetry, and art at York Theatre.

       

      DANCE

      DanceHouse presents a high-energy fusion of hip-hop, samba, capoeira, and contemporary dance by Companhia Urbana de Dança. Held at the Vancouver Playhouse.

       

      MUSIC

      The UBC Symphonic Wind Ensemble performs music by resident composer Frank Ticheli at the Chan Shun Concert Hall.

      The University Singers, UBC Choral Union, and Marcus Mosely Chorale perform works by John Legend, Hairston, Clausen, Erb,  and Walker. Held at the Chan Shun Concert Hall.

      Pianist Xenia Pestova and tabla player Shawn Mativetsky perform an eclectic programme of new music for piano, toy piano, Indian harmonium, and tabla at the Western Front.

       

      THEATRE

      Pacific Theatre presents director Chelsea Haberlin's play Gruesome Playground Injuries. Opens at the Pacific Theatre.
