One day after a 3.1-magnitude earthquake was felt in Squamish and Sechelt, another 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near the B.C. coastal region.

The April 5 quake occurred at 11:06 a.m., about 36 kilometres east of Victoria at a depth of about 55 kilometers. It was felt on Vancouver Island and in Washington State.

      No damage was reported.

By coincidence on the same day, the City of Vancouver announced that it is setting up 25 locations around the city for disaster support hubs in the event of major incidents such as earthquakes, extreme weather, chemical fires, and more.
