Radiohead promises a new album to the staff of the Wanstead Tap pub

Radiohead—or, more accurately, Radiohead’s manager—has announced that the long-running alt-rock band is finally ready to release a follow-up to 2011’s King of Limbs.

Sitting down with the staff at the Wanstead Tap pub in London (who needs to get the message out with the BBC or NME these days?), manager Brian Message suggested that the new record will be like “nothing you’ve ever heard.”

The Wanstead Tap then dutifully posted that statement on its Twitter account, which has almost 3,500 followers.

For the curious, the pub bills itself as having “the finest craft beers from London and beyond.” The Wanstead Tap also evidently has a direct pipeline to Radiohead, which, after being one of the biggest bands of the ’90s, has, over the past few years, been more reclusive than Syd Barrett, John Frusciante, Meg White, and all four members of ABBA.
