The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the DOXA Documentary Film Festival

      From May 5 to 15, the DOXA Documentary Film Festival touches down at various Vancouver venues.

      Known for showcasing thought-provoking documentaries from around the world, this edition of the festival will present films that take a leap of faith in the quest for justice, peace, freedom, and glory.

      Films on offer include opening-night docudrama Aim for the Roses, as well as Pistol Shrimps, The League of Exotique Dancers, Ain't and Still Rises, Black Life Is, and Cameraperson.

      This year, the festival will be taking place at the Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour), the Cinematheque (1131 Howe), the Vancouver Playhouse (600 Hamilton), SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (149 West Hatings), and the Museum of Vancouver (1100 Chestnut).
