Deadpool 2 confirmed: Will Vancouver's Ryan Reynolds destroy his hometown again?
The Merc With the Mouth will be heading back to the big screen, with a hometown boy reprising his lead role.
On April 14, 20th Century Fox chairman Stacey Snider confirmed at Cinemacon, an annual convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners, that a sequel to Deadpool has been greenlit. Ryan Reynolds will star again as the superhuman antihero from Marvel Comics with Tim Miller back in the director's chair.

There's no word yet if the sequel will be shot in Vancouver, as the first film was. But one can only hope so. Why? The production was a boon to both the local economy and the B.C. film industry, by spending over $40 million in B.C. and employing over 2,000 local cast and crew.
The film broke numerous records, including becoming the highest grossing R-rated film globally as well as beating opening weekend recordholders, including Fifty Shades of Grey, The Matrix Reloaded, and Pitch Perfect 2.
