The world of classic rock just creamed its jeans.

The L.A. Times is reporting that a huge festival is in the works bringing together six of the most influential names in rock and roll.

The event is being organized by Goldenvoice, the L.A.-based promoter that stages Coachella and is a unit of AEG Live.

According to Times writer Randy Lewis, the festival will take place October 7 to 9 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

Under tentative plans, the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan would open the festival on the 7th, followed by Neil Young and Paul McCartney on the 8th, with the Who and Roger Waters closing it out on the 9th.

I've been lucky enough to have seen all six legendary acts over the years, but experiencing them together in one weekend would be pretty sweet.

Could be time to book a holiday.
