This week, Vancouver's Echo Storytelling Agency released an emotional video revealing people's feelings about their mothers.

The kids' comments are amusing, but it's the tales from the adults that are often the most poignant.

It's designed to send a message that the best gift is not just flowers, but sharing what's in your heart on Mother's Day. And if you watch closely, you might spot well-known Vancouver journalist Frances Bula.

Filmmaker, musician, and writer Pete McCormack directed the video. He also helmed the new film Spirit Unforgettable about the band Spirit of the West.
