Homeless in Vancouver: Emergency utility pole fix

    1 of 2 2 of 2

At 10:30 p.m. Friday, a crew from Richmond, B.C.-based Arctic Arrow Powerline was in the alley of the 1200 block between West Broadway and West 10th Avenue.

They were there to replace a damaged wooden utility pole that had been earlier knocked over by a car.

A worker told me the car had run into the pole and nearly knocked it over against one of the West 10th Avenue buildings on the south side of the alley.
