The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors LitFest New West

From May 13 to 19, LitFest New West takes over various New Westminster venues.

For the past five years,  the Arts Council of New Westminster, the Royal City Literary Arts Society, Douglas College and the New Westminster Public Library have partnered together to produce the local celebration of readers and writers.

This year, the theme is Diverse/City and will promote it with events such as a two-month exhibit at the Anvil Centre, a multilingual poetry event at Douglas College, and a crosscultural communication workshop at Century House.

Other highlights include a literary marketplace featuring author readings and workshops, vendors, and a singer-songwriter panel discusison on the art of songwriting, which will be held at Douglas College.
