      On May 28, 8 pm, Veda Hille launches her new album Love Waves at the York Theatre (839 Commercial Drive).

      Hille's 20th album was written in Berlin and recorded in East Vancouver with John Collins of the New Pornographers.

      The local artist will be joined by her band of 20 years, composed of Ford Pier, Martin Walton, and Barry Mirochnick.

      Other guests include East Van Panto's Maiko Bae Yamamoto, plus singers Ida Nilsen and Patsy Klein, and Nick Krgovich.
