Vancity Theatre presents Radiohead in glorious 35mm

The promo video for Radiohead's new and very lovely "Daydreaming" will precede the Vancity Theatre's Moviehouse Rock presentation on Wednesday (May 18).

"So what?" I hear you say, "I can watch that bitch on Youtube, carn't I"?

Yes, you can, but not in glorious 35mm as God intended (God in this case being filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, who directed the clip for his friends Jonny Greenwood et al.)

Funnily enough, this comes on the heels of the Vancity's screening of Too Late, an LA-based noir that's being exhibited across North America on celluloid and nothing but celluloid at the insistence of the film's celluloid-mad producers. Which comes on the heels of every cinema in the world having to make a cost prohibitive switch to digital projection because Hollywood said film was dead, definitely dead, so get over it.

As the great Gordon White of Rune Soup put it, "The future of digital appears to be... analog."
