The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Vancouver International Children's Festival

From May 30 to June 5, the Vancouver International Children's Festival takes over Granville Island.

The 39th annual event features 10 professional performing artists from far-reaching countries such as Mexico and the Netherlands performing a total of 87 shows at six theatres.

This year's feature performers are Asoma, Snowflake, Extra-Céleste, Pekka, Michael Kusugak, the Box Brothers, Circus Incognitus, Splash n' Boots, H'Sao, and Project Soul.

Other family-friendly activities include bicycle spin art, origami, circus skills, face painting, a variety show, and giant board games.

Tickets for the Vancouver International Children's Festival start at $6 and can be found online.
