Video: Airbus aborts landing at Vancouver International Airport—and attracts interest around world

When a British Airways Airbus A380-841 showed up in Vancouver earlier this month, it did something unusual.

Rather than landing gracefully on the runway, the pilot chose to abort the first attempted landing a few feet off the ground and try again.

The video was posted on YouTube by AVgeekYVR on May 11. And since then, it's generated more than 173,000 page views.

"Looks like she may have flared a little too early, and ended up floating before going around," AVgeekYVR wrote. "What an impressive BEAST!! This is a definite must watch!! Second attempt was successful :)"
