The Georgia Straight presents Squeeze at the Commodore

Live Nation has announced that British band Squeeze will play a show at the Commodore Ballroom on Monday, October 3.

The group first formed in 1973, shortly after Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook had begun their songwriting partnership.

By 1977 Squeeze made its recording debut and enjoyed a string of hits which lasted until 1982, the maturity of its songs outliving their initial burst of chart activity on the back of New Wave.

Over the years there have been solo careers and occasional separations, but the Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriting duo of Difford and Tillbrook reunited nine years ago to relaunch Squeeze and have been touring, writing, and recording together since.

Tickets for the 19+ show are priced at $45 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (May 27) at 10 a.m. on the Ticketmaster website.

Tickets will also be available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000.
