Squamish Fest 2014 aerial footage reveals that party was even bigger than you thought
Live Nation has released a short video from day three of the Squamish Valley Music Festival that includes some pretty spectacular footage of 60,000 middle fingers in the air.
The third installment in the series is mostly comprised of tape from Eminem’s closing performance on the Tantalus Stage, but Arctic Monkeys and quick shots of a few other bands are in there, too.
I attended a few hours of day two and even during Arcade Fire’s primetime slot, I found myself wondering why organizers cleared so much additional space for the main stage compared to previous years. Aerial footage from this video makes pretty clear that the reason why was Marshall Bruce Mathers III. That’s a whole lot of rap god followers losing themselves in the moment.
Here’s that video plus the previous two installments. And while we have your attention, head over to Straight.com/squamishfestival for everything else Squamish Fest 2014.
