It's a golf tournament with a literary twist.

From Friday until Sunday (May 27 to 29), the Hastings Hole-In-One will raise funds for the Writers' Exchange, which gets inner-city kids excited about reading.

In 2011, it began by providing a safe space in Queen Alexandra elementary school. Two years later, it created a second after-school program at 881 East Hastings Street.

The East Hastings Street location is where the Pagemasters Putt Putt Championship will take place at a pop-up mini-golf site on Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The holes are themed around books for young people, such as The Paper Bag Princess, Where the Wild Things Are, Harry Potter, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

For those not interested in competing, there's a Putt-Putt for All event on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and daytime Friends and Families mini-golf from 10 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
