What would you do if you had the chance to play in the world’s largest sandbox?

On Saturday (August 16), you'll have to chance to find out. Too bad it's only temporary.

Passage Give and the Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation are building the sandbox as a fundraiser for children's mental health.

Here's how the organizers describe the event:

It will be a day of fun in the sun while learning about children’s mental health and how it affects all of us.

There will be sand castle competitions, mini golf, kids yoga, and a bouncy castle to keep us entertained. Live music and delicious food will keep us smiling, and we’ll see appearances from some of the world’s leading experts on children, including Dr. Shimi Kang, who will teach us how we can foster a community of strong, resilient and happy children!

Donations will go to Variety - The Children's Charity and the Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre.

The sandbox will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. It will be located at Ceperley Field at Second Beach.
