Videos: Barinder Rasode, Greg Moore, and Michael Buble take ice bucket challenge
Surrey councillor Barinder Rasode has responded to a challenge from broadcaster Kuljeet Kaila to drench herself in icy water to raise funds for the ALS Society of B.C.
Rasode did it with the support of some Surrey firefighters.
Watch the video below and see what happens at the end.
Rasode, who's expected to enter Surrey's mayoral race, then issued a challenge to three local mayors to do the same.
Port Coquitlam's Greg Moore, Coquitlam's Richard Stewart, and Vancouver's Gregor Robertson were the three she identified.
As part of these fundraisers, those named are supposed to rush out and get soaked or donate money to societies helping people with the crippling and fatal neurodegenerative disease.
So far, I've only found evidence that one of the three mayors, PoCo's Greg Moore, has responded to Rasode (though it's possible that Robertson and Stewart quietly made donations to the ALS Society of B.C., which is sufficient to meet the challenge).
One of the most amusing challenges came from singer Michael Bublé. Check it out.
